Just a wee update to mention other things that have come to light and built up as the trip has progressed -

I came across 2 road signs I had never encountered before (more learning!) both were red triangle warning signs, firstly one warning of squirells and more randomly one that depicted ‘horsedrawn vehicles crossing’, neither of which I’d even heard of.

Next I should probably mention, although a bit morbid, the amount of roadkill we have encountered…..I wouldn’t normally bring it up but it has played a huge part in almost every day. Again surprised by this, butbthere has been plenty -well in excess of 100 now, you don’t notice it so much in a car, sure you see some of it, but when you roll by at 8mph for instance it has a greater effectbas I’m sure can imagine, so I won’t get into it!!

Furthermore the number of single shoes and bits of carpet us mental……why? Who does it? Where do they appear from? Again WHY???? Very odd!

Lastly I’d like to say that I reckon we may have now seen a record breaking number of “welcome to ……….” and “…….thanks you for driving carefully” signs and we still have a good few days to go!
